Description

Downlighters, if not safely protected, can become a fire hazard as the hole cut in the ceiling to accommodate them compromises its fire resistance. Current building and wiring regulations have meant firehoods have become a necessity.Can be easily fitted from above or below in plasterboard or suspended ceilings. Not only does a Standard Firehood seal to stop fire penetration into the ceiling void left by fittings for up to one hour, but in normal use also offer ventilation to prevent the light fitting from overheating. Tested to BS476 parts 22 & 23, achieving up to 240 minutes integrity.
