Made to last from highest quality solid brass, featuring square corners, precise lines and uninterrupted minimalist design, our Renaissance flat faceplate is 2.5mm in depth yet when installed is the slimmest profile screwless solution on the high-end market. Offering durability, this is achieved by a pocketed design and cleverly conceived hidden fixings on the rear of the plate for the flushest electrical installation.

Natural pigment Umber, ‘terra di ombra’ earth of Umbria, attributes its colour to the presence of more manganese than iron oxide compared with other shades in the ochre family. A key dark brown in late Renaissance artist Caravaggio’s limited palette of earthy tones and mineral pigments, use of Umber created ‘chiaroscuro’ drama in his paintings which was to influence artists in the later Baroque period.

Our Umber finish features unusual, ambiguous tonal qualities that will add interest to dark or light wallcoverings. Enhanced by the solidity of our Renaissance plates, Umber will echo the browns, greys and metallics of quality surface materials whilst visually complementing warm neutrals through to nature’s stunning panoply of colours.
