An extrusion is a straight length, and mitring one round a curve shows every joint. Serpent Plus is the other way of doing it: a 48mm system of straight and curved modules that bond magnetically end to end, so a run can turn a corner, wave down a corridor or close into a ring and still read as one unbroken line of light.
LED tape on its own looks unfinished. Aluminium profiles transform bare tape into a polished, architectural lighting feature — protecting the LEDs, eliminating hotspots, and dissipating heat to extend lifespan.

Installed before plastering, these channels are skimmed over so only the diffuser aperture is visible. The result is a seamless, frameless line of light that appears integral to the ceiling or wall — popular in high-specification residential interiors.
Router or cut a channel into the surface, drop the profile in flush, and cover with a diffuser. Gives a tidier result than surface-mounted without the full commitment of plaster-in. Suitable for timber, MDF, and plasterboard.
The most versatile and easiest to install — screwed or adhesive-fixed directly to any surface. Available in flat, angled, and wide formats. Ideal for under-cabinet, shelf edge, and cove lighting where routing isn't possible.

Available in clear, frosted, and opal finishes. Clear maximises brightness with slight dot visibility. Frosted balances brightness and diffusion. Opal gives the smoothest, most even output — best for close viewing distances.
Aluminium conducts heat away from the LED chips. Running LED tape without a profile raises junction temperature and reduces lifespan. High-density tape (above 14.4W/m) should always be used in a profile.
