The system is one idea: a run

A run is one cable, one driver, and the lights plugged into it. The cable is the splitter — there are no T-pieces or couplers to buy — and every fitting takes one of its click-in points. Choose the shape that matches the garden and the rest follows.

Every fitting has a 3m tail of its own, so a light does not have to sit at the point it plugs into. Unused points take the caps supplied with the cable — the weatherproof rating depends on them being fitted. A garden bigger than one run simply takes another: each run is its own cable, driver and socket, and the configurator will build as many as you need.

3 ranges, one system

They share the drivers, the cables and the connector, so they can be mixed on a single run — a hooded spotlight aimed at a tree and a soft Ice head by the seat, both from the same box.

The same 5W hooded spotlight, screwed to a wall instead of pushed into the ground — for lighting a house elevation, a boundary wall or down onto a path from above. Runs on the same 12V drivers and the same plug-in cables as the spikes, so it shares one system.

Soft, ambient light with a jewelled head

An oxidised aluminium head that glows rather than beams. Chosen for atmosphere near seating, steps and water rather than to light a task — and it takes exactly the same drivers and cables as the Hood range, so the two can share a system.

Colour coverage across the range is genuinely uneven — white is made at 1W in 4000K only, and every 5W and 8W fitting is 3000K warm white. The configurator only offers combinations that exist as a product, so nothing you build can turn out to be unorderable.

Sizing the driver

Capacity here is a published table, not a watt sum — and it is more conservative than the arithmetic. This is that table, cell for cell as the range prints it.

Two rules run together, and a system has to satisfy both: no run may carry more fittings of a wattage than the cell above allows, and no driver is loaded past half its rating — 10W on the 20W, 40W on the 80W. That second rule is about the driver lasting rather than coping, and it is what binds when a run mixes wattages. The configurator applies both for you and shows its working.

Switching it on

Plug and play works from whatever the driver is plugged into — switch the socket and the lights come on. To switch the garden from indoors without running a switch cable down it, add a Wise Controls kit: a receiver on the mains feed with the switch that works it in the box.

One channel switches one circuit: everything plugged into that switched supply comes on together, whether that is one run or all of them. Lights you want to work separately need a channel each. Not sure how the garden is wired? Get in touch and we will work it out with you.

Colour-change is a separate range on the same principle: the SUB RGBW spike kits are plug and play too, with app control and scenes, but they are not part of this system's driver and cable set — so the configurator does not build them.
