Design your run and add every part to your basket

Give the configurator the shape and size of the run and what you want on it, then put the whole thing in your basket — ready to order. It works out the track lengths, corners, hidden circuit joints and end caps, and adds a power feed and driver for every 10m.

    The System

A track that stopped pretending to be a track.

Slim Duet is a 37mm channel carrying 24V extra-low voltage. Recessed and plastered in, it reads as a shadow gap with light coming out of it. What makes it unusual is the breadth of what clips into that one channel: spotlights from 6.4W to 12.7W, linear panels up to 903mm, downlight modules, an asymmetric wall washer, twin-head downlights and pendants.

Every fitting is plug-and-play. It clicks into the channel, twists, and locks — no tools, no electrician, no isolation. Move a spot down the run six months later because the sofa moved, and nothing about that is a job.

The track cover slides and cuts to close up around whatever you've fitted, so a half-populated run still looks finished rather than gappy.

    The Profiles

Four ways to put it up

The same 37mm channel and the same fittings, in four profiles. What you pick decides the ceiling work, the corner pieces available to you and whether you need a void — and it's the first question the configurator asks.

    Beyond the configurator

A shape we don't list, or a bigger project?

The configurator builds the five run shapes it knows, in one finish, on one ceiling. Plenty of schemes aren't that — a run that steps around a bulkhead, several rooms at once, a vertical change of plane, a specification that needs load charts and drawings. Send us the plan and our team will work it out and come back with a quotation.

    • Custom shapes, multi-level runs and anything the five shapes won't describe
    • Whole-project specification across several rooms or floors
    • Mixed finishes, non-standard lengths and cut-to-fit advice
    • Drawings, load charts and full parts schedules for tender
Ceiling plans, drawings or a screenshot of the run you configured — up to 20 MB in total.

Your details go straight to our team and are used only to answer your enquiry.

    Before You Specify

The three numbers that decide the design

    150W

    Per 10m of run

The hard ceiling on the fittings each 10m of run can carry. Nine 12.7W S2 spots will do it. It goes up with the length — a 20m run takes two feeds, so it carries 300W — but you cannot hang more than 150W off any one of them.

    10m

    Per feed and driver

How much track one power feed carries. The run doesn't have to stop there — go past 10m and it takes a second feed and a second driver, and another pair for every 10m after that. The configurator counts them for you and puts them on the parts list.

    2m

    Driver to track

The maximum cable length between the driver and the track feed. It dictates where the driver physically lives — plan an accessible void or cupboard within 2m of the feed point, because it will need to be reachable.

    Questions

    The things people ask us

Do I need an electrician to add or move a fitting?

No. The fittings are 24V SELV and connect by clicking into the channel and twisting to lock. Moving a spot along the run, swapping a panel for a downlight or adding a pendant later is a hand job, not an electrical one. The initial install — driver, feed and track — does need an electrician.

    Which driver should I use?

We recommend the DIMDRIV2 24V Triac range, which is what Slim Duet is specified against. The configurator picks the smallest one that carries your load with 20% headroom. DALI-2, Casambi and Zonik options are available where you need addressable or app control. If you want to use a driver we haven't recommended, it needs a compatibility test before installation.

Can I run the track around a corner?

Yes — every profile turns. Horizontal corners take the run round a right angle in the plane of the ceiling, and all four shapes in the configurator are built from them. The suspended profile has no corner of its own but uses the surface corner, so suspended runs turn too. The two recessed profiles additionally offer a vertical corner for stepping the run up or down a level; that isn't part of the configurator's shapes, so add one separately if your run changes plane.

What lengths can I actually build?

The configurator only ever gives you whole stock sections, so nothing you configure needs cutting. Trimmed, surface and suspended track comes in both 1500mm and 2100mm, and because those share a highest common factor of 300mm you can land on any 300mm step once a leg is past about 4.2m. Trimless comes in 1500mm only, so it builds in 1.5m steps. If you need a length in between, the track and its cover are designed to be cut on site — tell us the run you want and we'll work out what to order.

Can I mix black and white?

The configurator builds a run in a single finish, because that's what the overwhelming majority of schemes want. If you're deliberately mixing — black track with white fittings, say — configure the run in one finish, then add the alternate-finish fittings to your basket separately from the product pages.

Ready to work out what your run needs?

The configurator does the arithmetic — track lengths, corners, joints, feeds, drivers — and puts the whole parts list in your basket. If your run is more complicated than the five shapes, send us the ceiling plan instead and we'll price it up, usually the same day.
